Steven & Robyn are friends of mine from over a decade ago where we used to work together. They knew I was in real estate now and contacted me as they were needing to move up into a larger Regina home for their growing family. On top of that, they needed to sell their current Regina home to make that happen. The market may have been soft but we were on a mission to make their dream happen!

A Buyer’s market typically means higher than normal days on market, more showings, more carrying costs, and more frustration as a whole for a Seller. This may sound crazy but it can also be more challenging for a Buyer as well. It’s like having satellite vs basic cable – the more channels you have to choose from the harder it is to pick something to watch and many of us are stuck surfing! A property needs to fit ALL of a Buyer’s needs as this may be the last purchase someone makes for a decade or longer.

First step was going to their home in Engelwood, Regina, to do a Comparative Market Analysis. While I was there I quickly noticed some fairly inexpensive improvements they could make to help their home show well including referring an excellent drywaller to re-do their “tired” ceilings, finish their laundry room, and recommended some other staging tips. They completed everything we had talked about and the home looked and showed very nicely! From there I took HDR photos with our high-quality photography setup to make sure their home showed as well as it did in person as more than 80% of people view properties online before making an appointment with their REALTOR to view it in person. We officially listed the property and started their hunt for their next property.

Throughout the entire process he was professional, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. After many showings we finally found the perfect home for their growing family where they would make many new memories.
